Frequently Asked Questions
-
First time rental customers must fill out our order form with all the required information, including the items you’re requesting to rent.
We reach out to the owner/operators to confirm that the equipment is available.
Once confirmed, we’ll send along a quote for the days you’ll be renting. If there are no changes, we’ll have you sign our rental agreement and provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for the rented equipment.
After that, we’ll share the location for pick-up and drop-off.
-
The earliest that the requested equipment can be picked up is between 1-6pm the day before the first shoot day indicated on the rental form.
Gear must be returned before noon the day after the last shoot day indicated on the rental form.
We ask that you communicated your ETA for both pick-up and drop-off prior to your arrival.
If these, pick-up and drop-off windows are not adhered to, the renter will be charged for another day of renting the equipment.
-
No, we don’t currently have a space for prepping equipment prior to your shoot.
-
For rentals where the total price of the rented equipment is less than $5,000, signing our rental agreement will suffice.

In those cases, we will ask for a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with the following criteria:
Gainesville Grip and Camera, LLC must be listed as the Certificate Holder

We’re a small operation, so pickups are limited to Gainesville. And we do not offer deliveries at this time.
-
Gainesville is a small market. However, there are still a lot of talented film/video professionals who own and operate valuable equipment.
No single individual can service a whole production’s equipment needs, but we’ve found success when pooling resources from multiple equipment owners.
By utilizing the inventory of locals, we hope to create an infrastructure for more film/video work in Gainesville while offering locals another revenue stream.
